Text Box: Moline Christian School provides a comprehensive Pre-K through grade eight academic program.  The curriculum integrates faith and learning.  All areas of the curriculum demonstrate that Jesus is the Lord of all creation.
Curriculum:
Bible is a core subject in the curriculum, not an elective.
Core curriculum classes include reading, writing, math, science, language arts, and social studies.  
Special curriculum offerings include:       
Music for grades K – 5
Choir for grades 6 – 8
Band for grades 5 – 8
Physical education for grades K – 8
Art for grades 1 –8
Computer instruction for grades K – 8
Spanish for grades 1-5
Middle school opportunities include: 
Leadership training through service on student council, chapel committee, yearbook committee, and other organizational committees.
Extracurricular opportunities in sports, academic competitions, and fine arts presentations.
 
Curriculum Support:
A special education program is offered to assist students with learning disabilities.  We work in conjunction with the Christian Learning Center to meet these needs.  
We have access to diagnostic testing services to evaluate and meet the needs of individual students.
Trained paraprofessionals work in the classroom setting to help those who require assistance.
A computer lab is available to supplement and enhance student instruction.
 
Evaluation:
Students in grades K-8 participate in the Iowa Tests of Basic Skills on a yearly basis.
Report cards are issued on a quarterly basis.
Parent-Teacher Conferences are scheduled in November and February.
